SC3 works with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) to improve educational outcomes for around 482,000 K-12 students in over 290 districts and 1100 schools in the state. SC3 works with ADE on projects and services defined in cooperation with the SC3 Arkansas SCC. The Council works to identify Arkansas's priorities and changing educational needs. ADE leadership meets regularly with SC3 staff members, partners, and collaborators to maintain the flow of communication and plan technical assistance services.
C3 is assisting the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in developing methods to encourage and support local districts and schools in the development of local Educator Equity Plans by creating Equity Labs.
SC3 continues to equip Arkansas Department of Education's staff members with the tools and skills needed to develop policies and practices to implement student-focused education at the local level.

Fifth Annual Indistar Summit Update: The South Central Comprehensive Center (SC3) at the University of Oklahoma and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) co-hosted the fifth annual Indistar Summit, sponsored by the Center on Innovations in Learning (CIL) on March 16-18, 2015, in Rogers, Arkansas.
